Race for Ed

Race for Ed (Education) is Holy Family School's biggest fundraiser of the year, thanks to the hard work and dedication of our Home & School Association and our wonderful parent volunteers. In addition, our students look forward to this fun day on the school's field, collecting sponsors and donations in advance for the number of laps they hope to run.

The 2018 Race for Ed was held on a sunny day in April and raised more than $25,000 for our school. A big thank-you to all of our volunteer parents and the event's co-chairs, Bridgette Isaac and Kimberly Gentempo-McAllister, for making this such an incredible event.

Race for Education is a huge fundraiser for Holy Family School. Students come to school in their gym uniforms for comfort and each grade has an assigned race time. Students then walk, jog, run or even skip around the baseball field for 45 minutes (if in Kindergarten or first grade) or 60 minutes.  There is a DJ to make the day even more fun and keep the energy up. Snacks are provided and water is available all day. It is always a wonderful day.

All students are asked to participate by bringing in names of potential sponsors (friends and family). Sponsors may contribute a tax-deductible gift based on laps completed or send in a flat donation.

Race for Ed is also a great opportunity to earn Angel Points, as it takes many volunteers to help the day run smoothly.

Over the years, this fundraiser has benefited the students at Holy Family School by providing new computers, software, assemblies, programs, gym equipment and so much more to enhance every child’s educational experience. We encourage every family to support the school by participating in this wonderful fundraiser.
